Howard this is latest of many such payouts.It would be interesting know how much KCC have had to pay off officers with
golden handshakes in say the last ten years.This should also apply to DDC,during my period with them there were four
rather large golden handshakes paid out.I feel an FOI coming on......

The people who agreed to this should be jailed for defrauding the taxpayer, there is no justification whatever

who in their right mind draws up contracts like this one, they have legal people that should go through the fineprint so that the council tax payers don't get robbed.

it has all got out of hand across the country
with council officers being paid big wages at the top and these lay off payments as well.

Employment law and contractual obligations mean we have to pay significant redundancy costs,
We have all seen this sort of public theft many times before,
It will not change, all the time the middle classes involved in public service think they have the right to in rich them selves as if they are gods of industry.
We could get better cheaper, and still run services.
