    How about for the existing homes in streets with parking problems instead of building in every available gap they were gated parking spaces. I understand the plans for the Brambly Hedge new homes in Tower Hamlets only show one car space.

    The streets with access to available parking at the rear or in front were not allowed to street park, councils could pay for any ground work with cost to be paid back in installments if need be.

    If the various bodies had the will a solution to many of the town's parking problems would be solved although not all.
