  Very funny howard but , in case you couldn't tell, I think this is a really serious issue and I can see it getting really stupid before anyone even considers doing anything about it.
  
  I'm pretty sure the kids here were still able to play football in our street using garages for goalposts long after I left school in the early/mid eighties.
  
  I've worked shifts pretty much since then and it has demonstrably got much worse.
  
  Never mind "the next road". I honestly sometimes struggle to find a space in the next nine or ten roads. After that it's all restricted parking. Twenty minutes for me to drive home. Then add another ten going 'round and 'round and up and down looking for a spot.
  
  You daren't move your car now to go "out for the evening" for any reason because some other poor sod will nick your space.
