  I learned to drive about the same time as Stuart and there wasn't a law regarding pavement parking but the Highway code decreed it as wrong, many more cars since then have changed things. Keith is correct about vehicles having to get through but the downside in the Clarendons has been that mums with buggies and people with mobility scooters are sometimes trapped in their houses because of cars parked up to their gate.
