    Interesting that, Howard. I remember when I learned to drive (way back in the early 70s) being given a book which was called "the lawyer in your car" or something similar. I'm sure I recall reading that parking any part of your vehicle on a pavement was technically then an offence, although it has clearly never been strictly enforced.

    Has the law changed in the interim, does anyone know? Maybe my memory fails me.
