He himself didnt expect he would get such a resounding victory. But yes indeed its true, time topples all politicians... always has been hard for any politician to stay popular for long, some last longer than others, Tony Blair for example, but others who come to the top in a blaze of Christ-like glory never maintain it. Barack Obama being a shuddering example of the case in point.
