    bit of an old argument here but have to bring the subject up.

    a b.m.w. motorised vehicle was parked outside of my house on double yellow lines, to my knowledge for at least 3 hours.
    about half an hour ago it was ticketed by an official.

    o.k. fair play, the driver broke the rules.

    during the day time this happens all the time which means that delivery vehicles and buses are sometimes forced to abhort their journeys. i have been on our local bus when out of frustration the driver rings the police for help and is told in effect that they will not do anything.

    the victim tonight was actually parked sensibly allowing cars to pass in the road and buggies to pass on the pavement.
    i am forced to conclude that it is all just a revenue gathering exercise.
