I wonder if anyone can answer this puzzle for me (or provide a link)!
If I park in Dover in a restricted area - say in Camden Crescent I can have a free hour. Then I may not return to the area for 2 hours.
How do I know where the area begins and ends? eg: Could I park on the car to the seafront when i return. Likewise I was thinking of Effingham Crescent and then Ladywell.
I had a day last week where I seemed to be coming and going all day, and was worried that I'd get a ticket if i returned too close to the original space. (Usually I park right up Military Hill out of the way but time was of the essence)!

I asked a traffic warden this question, and they said that each area of parking that is split by areas of double yellow lines are counted separately. The example I used was at the County Hotel, where I needed to park at the front for a while, then go away and park at the side within the time restriction, and I was told as they were split by double yellows this would be ok.

Normally on the signs there is the name of a zone. Within the same zone the restrictions apply. Move to a zone with a different name and you get a fresh start.

Thanks Gents - I'll have to conduct a survey whilst on foot and not so pressed for time - thanks!
