    They might have twice as much land Howard but its essentially rural land, I agree they have oceans of that, but within town parameters they still have the same town sizes as we have with the same problems..but clearly have a different philosophy.

    It would be possible for De Brad and Premier Inn to have a system where the driver and his/her family wasnt fleeced everytime they went there. But as it is they enjoy revenue from a golden cash cow, thats why they do nothing about it.

    The logic of charging your own customers before they enter your own door is a bit of an insulting turkey but we all take it.

    I would imagine the collection rate is never near a 100% anyway but yes Dover appears to have a low rate of collection. We have a proportionately fluid population who arent going to pay anyway. Many people have court settlements, county court settlements and whathaveyou against them, but they dont pay those either. The centre ground will always pay. Alas I put myself in that category.

    The parking rates are so high now, with parking tickets and outrageous clamping coming at you from all directions it now pays to try and get away with it.
