I think people are fed up to the back teeth with parking charges...and are possibly revolting. Im not long back from continental europe where they have oodles of free parking everywhere..it keeps the towns buzzing. Its a simple philosophy that works. Dover has parking charges on every bit of spare ground and the motorist is over fleeced . Tourists stop for five minutes to go to the loo and there's a ticket on their windscreens. The car being anti green is the worst excuse possible, this kind of nonsense comes down from government giving the green light to continual over charging.
When you think about it...
why do they need to charge you to shop in De Bradelei Wharf?
why do they need to charge you to dine in the Premier Inn?
