And very good of you David, but (sticking to the paralympic angle) these competitors too are human beings, human beings doing their utmost to succeed. As we are each encouraged to reach-out and "be all we can be" reality must be part of it. The Olympics are not the human equivalent of Woburn Safari Park and the Paralympics should not equate to a Zoo. With the competitors fit only to be gawped at. 'Disability' is a 24/7, 365 day a year way of life.
I am entirely positive and fully aware of all the good that should be/will be done when we accept Raspberries into the general population. Pointing-up the present shortcomings in attitude and approach, the continuing patronisation and sub-classification, of Government and Locog is entirely in keeping with a fully positive approach to 'disability'.
