I was prescribed diclofenac for my arthritis, unfortunately it reacted with something else I was taking and put me in the K&C for 4 days with acute renal failure.
Needless to say I recovered!

"Diclofenac, like ibuprofen, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or 'NSAID'. It is often prescribed after surgery and to combat arthritic pain, when ibuprofen is not strong enough.
It can also be purchased over the counter at a pharmacy without a prescription, for example in the branded form of Voltarol Pain-eze tablets.
But two years ago the Barts researchers found that it was linked with a 40 per cent increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
That analysis crystallised the fears of many doctors, who have raised concerns about the drug for years.
Another study, also published in 2011, indicated diclofenac raised the risk of dying from heart attack or stroke four-fold. "
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I must say,I take alot of pain killers, without them I could not do and get round like I do.Yes I have been taken to Hos/two times in the last 6months with my heart ,I was not told that it had anything to do with the pain killers I am on,so I will carry on the way I have been told to. I do not like taking the amount I do,and have at times cut that amount down, but by doing that I get the pain back.I was told even if the leg does get taken off at some point I will still get pain with it,you can not win.But I am very happy with the way I am being looked after,it could not be better,And a very big thank you goes out to the Drs and nurse,s, that I see from time to time.
