I'm not a member of any political party and never have been, never will be. But when friends ask for advice I am always prepared to help. The correspondence Vic showed me confirms much of what Andy wrote above and I stand by what I said. Contrary to what Alexander has written above I have not mounted an attack on him but I think Vic is a good straight (if sometimes misguided

) local politician and activist. He has done a lot of good community work especially on the health service front and I did not think he deserved to be pilloried the way he had been.
So when he consulted me I offered to make the above posting. Alexander's views as expressed in the emails I read were closer to BNP policy than UKIP and I concluded therefore that he is in the wrong party.
Keith I have friends who support (or are members of) all the main parties and try to support them in different ways. That doesn't mean I agree with their politics or would vote for them.
