To the best of my knowledge, Serbia is a candidate EU country with an economy about the size of Yorkshire. And, like many others, they're desperate to get into the EU.
What Serbia isn't, is the 2nd biggest economy in Europe that has left the EU and subsequently negotiated a sadly one-sided trade and co-operation agreement as a political backstop to keep its governing party in power regardless of the consequences.
Did you listen to the utter guff that failing Grayling was spouting before the referendum? I really don't how much more evidence you can need.
