Would be great if ramsgate port could help out during the current p&o failure.
There is only one operational single deck roro berth available, suitable for vessels that have their own stern loading/unloading ramp.
Hopefully dredging has been maintained and the spine mooring's are satisfactory (awaiting inspection-out for tender at the moment).
The port parking area has been largely divided off to house travellers, thanet council relocated them to temporally stop there but they have been there for 8 months now and have issued thanet council with a judicial review notice about the site being a violation of their human rights .
Manston the former airport sit e has been mentioned, the previous lease issued to our government for lgv parking has expired. Hopefully Kent Resilience Forum have restarted talks with the site owner and site operator.

Someone needs to set up the Dover Resilience Forum to deal with issues of Tap and local congestion, so many well informed people on this forum who have local knowledge and actually care.
