  Howard, seing that private pensions have been undermined and all but destroyed by the policies and actions of Brown he has had to increase State benefits and mean tested benefits. His undermining of businesses with red tape and high taxes has more than offset any good he might have done. Then we get to the fiscal and public finance crisis he has created and the damage to pensioners and savers generally, with more damage yet to come through high inflation eroding fixed annuities which is a direct result of his domestic policies. Action even now by any new Government cannot avert all of that damage.
