  Quite right Paul it has been happening for years. When a successful product recipe is so called "improved" it often means cheaper ingredients are being used rather than put the price up.

  i have never noticed it particularly but this morning when shopping there were 2 boxes go cat(song bird flavour) going for 2 quid as against £.1.25 for one. i looked to see what price was for double the size box and there wasn't one.
  
  the sizes were all in odd weights so you couldn't compare instantly without using a pocket calculator or being very sharp with mental arithmetic.
  
  not easy to pro rata out 295 grams with 375 when you are in a hurry.

  Wagon Wheels aren't what they used to be, or Cadbury's Snack for that matter, very minuscule.

  The size of items in multi packs has been reducing for some time . The size of the outer packaging hasnt changed though
