  All those wasted hours studying the welsh and cornish tongue, Blast!
  
  I see from the news on television last night that the second most common language spoken in Blighty, is Polish, take this opportunity to book a course in our local Adult Education Centres
  
  I remember my first job in Fleet Street, the assistant advertising manager was Polish, wore a bowler hat, had a handlebar moustache was ex-RAF and a Polish lancer who charged German tanks on horseback in WWll before he escaped to England to continue the fight. A fascinating, proud and quiet chap

  in that report approx 130,000 said they spoke no english, so how would they know what the question was?

  You could always try either the Polish Cafe in Bench Street or the Polish Mini-Mart in the High Street

  Howard, those who spoke no English would hardly have filled in the census, would they?
  That was one thing the census overlooked.
  Not sure if the State actually grasped this little "inconvenience" when spouting out numbers according to the census.
  The numbers are probably significantly different.
