Wouldn't have been my choice, blue tits and sparrows are more common or one of our great hawks would have been popular.

People are brainwashed by Christmas card images! The irony is that most robins are migrants anyway with those here in the summer heading south as it turns cooler, to be replaced by birds from Scandinavia and Scotland.
