  the answer lies in the thread title, everyone knows who is our representative in the commons, we see him on the box and read his column in the press.
  
  very few know who their representatives are in brussels so basically they are unaccountable.
  
  every so often someone posts the names of our european representatives, and after reading the names and the vast areas that they cover we forget.
  
  what makes the situation worse is that when a politico is rejected by the u.k. electorate or is simply past their sell by date they wash up as a commissioner on a wonderful salary accompanied by sumptuous expenses.
