The Dover Society usually have dinner at Blakes first, then go on to the meeting/talk.
Peter (and Kathryn of course) do great food - call in there for lunch sometime, you'll be glad you did.

Now, am I embarassed or what!
But certainly the first part of the evening is something to look forward to. Caves and tunnels of Dover is a fascinating subject, and I'm very interested to hear Derek's talk and see his new book.

Well done Maggie, a very interesting talk

Been nice knowing you :)
I was delighted to present a pin to Maggie at the end of her excellent talk to the Dover Society. The pin was given to me, for her by the Last Post Association, when I was in Belgium at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing on the 11/11/11 She, ably supported by Simon, was guest speaker, talking about the work of the Dover War Memorial Project. The evening was a huge success, and long may the Dover War Memorial Project help us to remember the sacrifice of the Fallen. Maggie & Simon are well Know throughout Belgium and France and many of my Canadian friends remember them for when we were at the re-dedication of the Vimy Memorial
