The only one to bother me is fear of snakes and not sure I'm really frightened of them, just treat them with respect. I don't put it down to bravery and I'm sure there must be things I'm afraid of, just haven't found them yet.

I'd like to agree with you but then we would both be wrong!!

After a childhood visit to a dentist in Doncaster who insisted on drilling without local anaesthetic, I have been terrified of going to the dentist ever since.

Must say I di not think I have any fear like that.
But dieing and how that will happen does cross my mind at times .
But no fear of snakes, or dentist and things like that but I know mates and indeed my own wife who is and it can make them fill very unwell after seeing them , rats, etc.

if every dog looked like the one in the link then i would have a phobia about them, much the same as the snake pictured.
i had a great fear of dentists at one time and avoided them for about 15 years. when i actually had to go because of toothache i found that things had advanced so much and had a root canal done with no discomfort whatsoever so have no problem going regularly now.

Like Peter, I had a bad experience at the dentist's, when I was about 4; my mother was not allowed in with me and after giving me gas and I was sick, he had to bring me round and give me an injection. I was terrified about dentists until I was about 15. Now we have the nicest lady dentist we could have, and she can do anything to my mouth, I would not worry. These days dentistry should be painless and comfortable.

I was also terrified by the dentist and used to feign illness so I did not have to go, once my faking was found out I had to be dragged to see him kicking and screaming.
Thank goodness things have changed for the better but my heart rate still increases until after treatment and I am free to walk out of the building.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Spiders are great. Their webs are a work of art and they keep your house free of other bugs too.

i love watching them weave a web, the sheer speed at which they do it is entrancing.
many a time i have broken one accidentally but it never puts them off doing a fresh one.
