One of our calls this morning was Charlie Elphicke.
Since the election Charlie has been in regular contact and vice versa.Charlie from day one has been aware of where our
political sympathies are but he proves what all MP`s should do,supporting all constituents regardless.
Many do not.
He has had contiuous meetings with the PCT,GP Consortium and Health Authorities since the election on the Hospital.
He confirms this morning that the first `sod` will be cut on our Hospital site next year and that it will have ``beds``for
Social Services and GP`s patients......this is good news.
We all agree the site is inadequate for the Hospital we required and car parking is a major factor,as the Hospital is built on
one !!!.
He said there will be 200 car spaces made available.
All Hospitals in East Kent ...suffer..from Clinics bursting at the seams and car parking overflow...the lawns and grass are used
regularly.This will be a problem.
The Port was mentioned and he is still confident that it will be a peoples Port.
I said my concern was Mr Osborne needing the money for the Treasury.
He said the peoples Port proposal would provide the same amount of money.
Due to an already long call I did not ask how? or talk about ``Tax Avoidance``.Next time may be.

sorry reg cannot get excited about this, yet again we are stuck with next year.
sounds to me like a fig roll of the imagination, the health secretary was at buckland last week.
if there had been good news he would have used the photo opportunity to make an announcement.

Well hopefully it will be early next year when the first sod is turned, so on the positive side we may only be looking at about 6/7 months before work begins
