I hope PaulB and Howard won't tell me off for being imposing, but this piece about British veterans should also come to light.
It is from psychminded.co.uk, refers to official national information, and to Britain's soldiers after leaving the Army.
"A quarter of homeless people are ex-services and 5,000 former servicemen and women are in prison. Like Heer, most veterans seen by specialist mental welfare charity Combat Stress are unable to work and have broken marriages."
Heer, mentioned here, ticked over after seeing a dead girl in Irak in the first Gulf War.
The number of British veterans from that war (1991) who commited suicide is 5 times higher than the soldiers who died in it.
We can then ask ourselves how many committed suicide after the seconf Guld War, and after being in service in Afghanistan. And how many will commit suicide.
Oh yes, the other side of the story, the one that those in high don't tell you or me, so we have to find out ourselves.
But Marek, just where, please tell me where, do you get your information from?
