    Having now read through a lot of the reportage on the web and viewed numerous bits of video a few further observations

    - if it was disgusting and nauseating to see people cheering in the street in Islamic countries post 9/11 isn't it just as disgusting and nauseating to see crowds of people doing the same in the US

    - are our PM and the Foreign Office fools? Didn't he recently make an apology and a significant aid payment) to Pakistan following accusations that they harboured terrorists. Yet Bin-Laden was found in a large property less than half a mile from the Pakistan Military Academy (their Sandhurst/West Point) ...

    - given recent popular uprisings in Arab states had the International Jihad ceased to have any real relevance to ordinary Arabs and therefore by extension proponents of such ceased to have their "pulling" power for the disaffected?

    - on the other hand will the creation of a "martyr" to the cause actually increase the relevance of Al-Quaeda and its associated organisations amongst the disaffected islamic youth of the world?
