21:0671375spotted an a4 poster in the window of a shop today.
it all happens on the weekend of the 23rd/24th october, very little on detail, will leave it to our resident historian paul(scotchie) wells to expand on this.
these weekends have gone from strength to strength over last few years, people from all over visit these open days.

21:1471379Thanks Howard - just a small 'bonus' event before the autumn kicks in and there isn't much happening over the half term holidays
The Grand Shaft will be open free for the weekend, the Drop Redoubt will be £2.50 for adults and FREE for accompanied children. The First Footguards re-enactors will be in residence as well as a few smaller things in the fort
Been nice knowing you :)

11:3771561Now there`s an idea similar to swimming the channel. Get a competition going for the fastest climb up those steps.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

18:1671589talking about swimming the channel, did everyone see that item about the french bloke that did it yesterday?
incredible achievement, he lost his arms and legs after being electrocuted at work and was fitted with prosthetic ones.
