Just got back from St Martins battery where the lovely Paul and his aides are repairing the fences following un unexplained trip by a Discovery through the fence and down to the trees!. I did take some photos which I will try to put up in a minute. The press were there as well as people looking.
Well done Paul and co for your dedicated work in repairing things in the pouring rain. You are such good protectors of our lovely town

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Not all that clear but you get the idea - very wet, very cold and a job being well done. Thanks Paul x

thanks for putting those up jacqui, goodness knows how the driver managed that. paul and the volunteers were doing a scrub clearance in drop redoubt field today so the time they spent repairing the fence means less scrub cleared elsewhere.

I can't help but wonder whether the Discovery had been 'borrowed' for a little joy ride.

No signs of skidding or braking Jan, perhaps somebody rested their heavy shopping bag on the accelerator pedal, or maybe hung their handbag on the choke?

Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

There wouldn't be Tom if they simply took the brake off and pushed just for the fun of it.....maybe their matches were wet.
