Interesting manipulation of the story from the times.

I don't hate it all, Reggie. The story was widely reported from several different sources and I had no compunction about repeating it. Obviously, I wasn't there so couldn't personally vouch for its veracity.

The salient point of the post was to question whether it was appropriate for anyone (one man, a small crowd?) to seek to influence whose lives the RNLI are justified in trying to save. The implication being that one life is intrinsically more valuable than another.

Untermenschen perhaps? Where have we heard that before, I wonder.

At least from the video clip we can see that the lifeboat volunteer made the most appropriate response he could - "What a ****". The same thought might well cross anyone with a modicum of empathy's mind.
