The last eight days have been dreadful - water through ceiling, with part of ceiling down - Bob getting his debit card stuck in a cash machine, and on Sunday I tripped on a pothole while having a lovely walk in the village, fell on my face and have the best black eyes you have seen, sore face and mouth.
But could be worse !!!
Trying to take it easy

You have my complete sympathy Kath especially with the fall but it could have been worse with a broken bone. A fall in public is so embarrassing, a couple of years ago I fell outside Boots ending up with a real shiner, so I know exactly how you must feel.

Oh dear Kath, I hope it won't stop you planting the pumpkin seeds!

No pumpkin competition this year, Peter - but our WI are having a potato growing competition, which will be interesting for the members !
Better day today but the black eyes and sore face still there - an excuse not to do too much !!

So sorry to hear about your fall Kath, thank goodness you didn't break anything. Yes I think you have had more than your fair share of bad luck so the only way is up now, just sit back, rest & wait for the good things to happen
Will be interesting to see photos of the size of the potatoes as you did with the pumpkins last time around or is this a competition where size matters over quality?

Thanks Collette,
I hope to put a photo the potato competition results in, in due course !
It will be the 'heaviest crop' in the tub.
