    No political party in this country, or any other for that matter, has ever been guilty of being truly democratic. Voting nowadays is a choice between different squabbling despotic elites seeking to gain political power and hold on to it at all costs.

    This is why I always vote for the candidate and not the party, and will never join any party, although I might work to help my chosen candidate get elected.
