  Not guilty this time Howard. It looks like a silly hoax site to me set up around a digitally altered video clip. Note that the 'creature' seems to unrealistically bounce up and down away from the horizon? It's also odd that on one page the name of the group changed from "Association of Marine Research" to the "Association of Maritime Research", and neither have close links via Google. Mind you it is all good fun.
  
  Of course we do get the occasional large cetacean in the Channel. If I can find it, I've got somewhere a photo of a dead humpback whale washed up in Sandwich Bay I took in the late nineties, and another was stranded off Deal three or four years ago.
