    This is excellent news, even Canterbury failed to host the torch - they are understandably miffed in their local papers.

    At the risk of stirring an old controversy, I wonder if the big telly played a factor in the decision to choose Dover? Canterbury turned down the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games's offer of a screen, but Dover accepted. A positive result?
