You're right Jan, maybe enough people from DDC area didn't apply or weren't the right mix, out of 15 torch bearers only 5 are from the district, the rest include runners from as far away as Brighton, Bracknell and Bremen!
And with the Dover leg being promoted with pictures of Deal, Sandwich and what I suspect are Sussex cliffs it all seems a bit of a letdown.
