The post you are reporting:
There is still lots to do of course, no one would say otherwise, but the flowers, the painted railings and benches (some of them) did help to spruce the town up a bit.
The Town Team Manager - if/when appointed, could be inviting businesses down here to open a new branch - Wlkinsons for one, maybe a Hungry Horse restauarant for another, lots of others; different businesses could be shown what we have and what we are doing for the town and how beneficial it will be to them to come here.
The issuencing of section 215 notices will help of course, but it's creating the business environment, conducive to encouraging new people/businesses here that will help.
The street-market if done properly, can make a great deal of difference, inviting budding entrepreneurs to take a stall, help with advice on buying and selling, profit margins, quality goods not cheap rubbish etc. They may then move on to a shop.
It's not all pipe-dream stuff, a lot of this is how it happens.
I've written all this and more down and sent it to the appropriate bodies, so they know what to do and how to do it.
