  Does any one know where you can get the needles for these things? and when you do how do you stop the record jumping and repeating its self? .

  Dont know where to get theses stylus's but if you do get any, the way to stop them "jumping" is to carefully sharpen the end. Not to much though or you will just cut the record to pieces. Bit of an art I have to say (used to do it when I bought 78 rpm's)

  Ian. Both stylus (stylii ???) and gramaphone needles are available on line, all you need to know is the model number stamped on the old stylus.
  
  When I used to help with a mobile disco where records could easily jump when operating from a wobbly village hall stage we used to tape a coin on the arm. Best not try this on a good quality record deck as it won't do it any good longer term.

  There used to be an 'Old Radio & Record Player' shop at the T junction of Horn Street in Seabrook, not sure if it's still there.

  Ken - I have a wind-up one also, it is going to be used in the village for a coffee morning /garden party this year, ideal for the garden or seaside !
  I have a big collection of records (classical and popular) from the 1920s to the 1950s.
  
  Needles (soft, medium and loud) should be available at the antique shop almost opposite the Guildhall in Sandwich, who sell old gramophones and records.
  
  Very economical on electricity and do not need batteries !! and can be carried anywhere !
