And what objective does that achieve Ross, other than spend public money & take council staff away from day to day work on the scheme?
This is work in progress & I answered David's original question.
There are no secrets other than commercially sensitive info. that has the potential to ramp up prices or forestall negotiations.
In effect you won't get the answers until the scheme is ready to be unveiled, which hopefully won't be that long.
Forum members, Sue, Nigel & Roger plus Gordon C. are members of the group currently receiving reports on the Developing[near developed scheme]. If agreed & proper financial terms can be put to bed , a planning application will follow.
It also needs to be recognised the retail viability of the town centre Dover economy does not have a good track record & demonstrates market failure which is the reason for the SEEDA grant.
We could repeat what has been repeatedly debated here & accept the usual insults levelled to no avail, but it won't move any quicker.
Even when the scheme is launched, developer terms agreed & a planning permission granted the issue of site acquisition has to be dealt with. The strategic block which includes Burlington House still has to be acquired.
I have given you the latest details & won't comment further.
