  now and again i have to ring waste at ddc if my rubbish/recycling is missed and they are always polite and helpful and the next working day it is gone.
  
  last friday the recycling and slops bucket were missed so first thing on monday morning i rang the council and was told it would be sorted the same day or latest by tuesday(today). i explained that the two houses either side of me and the one opposite had also been missed.
  
  about an hour ago i heard the clanking of bottles from outside so went to the window, saw that my boxes were all empty and a caged vehicle driving off leaving all the other houses that had highly visible recycling boxes at the front. i have just rang the department and was told that each house had to report their own non collection!!
