Pictures in today's newspaper of children as young as 4 posing, parading and pouting in heavy make-up in a so called children's beauty pageant.
This is just appalling.
The parents should be done for child abuse and this is one step away from paedophilia.
This disgusting competition was once confined to the USA. Shame on those who bring it here.

Nothing difficult about it. Obscenity is obscenity.

Over the years I have watched pushy parents(as you call them brian) some putting themselves before there children, a lot ending in disaster.
But this topic is a lot different

I agree with you Barry W, I saw an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras about the American beauty pageants purely to see what people were talking about and was it as bad as I thought? Yes it was and I found it very unsettling.

Agree completely Jeane and Barry.
All little girls like to dress up which is natural, I can remember tottering round in my mother's high heels having smeared on her lipstick. It is the "pushy" parent who enters these very young girls into these competitions and provide money for the outfits and make-up etc.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Awful indeed, children should be allowed to be children, this is little better than child-labour.
