  Another case developing is the testing of these weapons some years ago, it's going to the sumpreme court to see if the big time gap is one that will stop those affected by these tests was correct, seeking compensation.
  
  This will be another interesting legal judgement

  It appears from the bbc newspage that nuclear testing took place between 1952/8
  damages were being sought from the M.O.D. the testing caused radiation and illness such as cancer.
  
  but it's just been announced the supreme court has denied the veterans the right to take up this case
  the time limit being one the M.O.D. used, but its understood the veterans have been fighting for 9 years.
  
  no doubt had damaged been agreed they would have been high
  
  but looks like these veterans don't have a way forward

  the case was chucked out of court,no compo being paid.a compleat whitewash.

  During the fifties my father captained Valiant bombers collecting radiation data over Australia after the atomic bomb tests on the Woomera range. At times they were ordered to fly right through the mushroom cloud. He died of cancer in August 2000. We don't know if exposure to the radiation was a factor, and we never will.

  the problem is as stated above that no real coonection can be made.
  
  if there were a series of people that had serious health problems in their 40's then a link can be made.
