  howard,not to worry about it ,previeling winds [westerlys] will blow all [well 90% of it] towards scandinavia and the eastern european countrys.

  Brian as I understand it there hasnt been a leak of any kind, so no prevailing winds required. We are of course all highly jittery about Nuclear Power and quite rightly, but there is no real alternative, nothing on anything like the scale required to fuel up the homes of the future. We have other sources coming on tap but they dont produce enough to meet our needs. I would have liked to see the government renew the Power Station at Dungeness but alas the answer was no, due in main to a flooding danger, so they said.

  This is not a power station but a reprocessing plant. Compared with Fukushima this is a relatively trivial matter blown up internationally by a sensationalist press.
  
  Of course there are concerns about radiation leaks but there is no reactor here to get out of control.
