  Used to go regularly in the 70s and 80s always a great event such a pity that in recent years troublemakers have joined in just to attack the police and upset the party.
  
  In an age of falling police numbers how did they find 7000 officers on Monday?

  The nearest I have been to criminal behaviour at the carnival is old ladies of Carribean origin flogging cans of Red stripe for twice the shop price.
