- 16 February 2014 20:13261146All week we have had great clear night skys and very nice out there today,I went out about 1700hrs setup my Telescope ready for stargazing and moon watching tonight,went out at 1830,all good.so got dressed just been out there and what,that clear night is gone and stars with it.

Mrs List no I was up.but had already put my gear away and reset the alarm,but also it was going behind the clouds at times. If I got my scope out the moon would have hid up again,but thank you all for telling and geting back to me .It is a great pass time,to see it all close up and observethe night sky,no two nights are the same,so you see it and it will never be seen again,and seeing the moon and what is on it must say it is great,cold this time of the year,but I have my bunker with heating in it and a mess tin of hot beans is always close by. I had a nice hot lemon water to keep me warm and cosy.

They helped me to setup sometime ago,I am going to join them at some point just have not got around to doing it.
I hope when I pack up my parish dutys sometime nextyear,I will have more time.
I was up at 0315hrs this morning and it was a great nightsky the moon was out and the light we are geting from it at this time means we do not need road lights on you can see just by the moonlight.
I will do a setup later in the day for tonight but it does look like our best time to look is about 0400hrs.We are off for afew hrs to Deal again a town we both like to go to.
For the first time in weeks we have no Hos/appointments over the next 8days so we are going to make the best of it.
Please keep posting.My wife allset ready to go to Germany only wish I was going to.

Also noticed from my front window that bucklands workforce is well busy during the night. There is so much light on the horizon ... maybe i take a pic when its that bright again.
