10:2569687This was the seafront yesterday afternoon about 3 o'clock. Scary isnt it! It was the grimmest scene for quite a long time. This is actually a colour picture but you wouldnt think so. There was one rumble of thunder and at a glance it looks like armageddon is about to let loose. Fortunately it didnt and we're all here today to enjoy the aftermath..

10:3969699Awesome picture Paul, well done. I was over at Ashford and there we had two huge cloudbursts which dumped quite a bit of rain. It was almost like Lagos in the wet season, but not as warm!

18:1169808 A great picture above PaulB, I never get tired of seeing these dramatic picture`s of cloud formation`s. The one I took above was the day before the Regatta weekend on Friday 13 August last month. I think it was pouring hard in Canterbury at the time.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

18:1569811Thanks for all the comments there above. Twas such a dramatic weather period yesterday for a brief while. Doom Gloom and Armaegeddon (ooops Ive done that line!lol) Yes indeed Colin the oul dramatic sky is always good for a nice shot particularly if you get a bit of sunshine in the foreground. Nice one there.

21:2169864Nice photo Paul. I was cutting my grass here in Whitfield, I only got half way through it when the heavens opened. A good excuse to knock off and do it another day.

21:5469870Nice one Howard

I am on the red wine now, at home anyway, 3 bottles of decent Chilean Red for 10 quid from the local post office, quite palatable as well, I am no connoisseur, but it suits me. Had a couple of John Smiths at the Funky Monkey after I had taken my library books back today.

09:2769913Chilean Red is very underrated, and very under-priced. At some stage I expect the price to rise dramatically as a result of the recent earthquake destroying most of this years crop. Until then, happy supping.

18:3269992When Threshers had a shop in Biggin Street they did a very good Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon, but the best one I ever had was on a train to Aberdeen. I think it was about the time of the 125th (or thereabouts) anniversary of railway catering. It was £4 a bottle.
Halcyon days.
