Spring is just around the corner but I don't think we've seen the last of winter yet.
But the black birds are now coming out in full song morning and evening.
grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.

i think nature is in for a shock judging by the latest weather forecasts.
it is predicted that a severe and prolonged cold snap is on the way.
got my gas bill yesterday and wasn't that much better than this time last year, less units used but the rates are much higher.

I heard the weather forecast too Howard, but maybe down in our little quarter, we'll be lucky.
The flowers - daffs etc. are almost there. Beautiful day today.

I have hyacinths, geraniums and gazania (normally flowers mid summer) all in flower at the moment, very strange weather we have had this winter.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Don't forget this weekend this is the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.
Seem to be loads of sea gulls inland at present.

This morning most of the birds seem to be hiding to keep warm and dry. I saw the egret take flight inland from the Dour by Morrisons a few days ago but sadly have not seen the pied wagtail fighting his reflection in car wing mirrors and windscreens for a couple of days. That could be a good thing I suppose I waste far too much time watching him through the window.
