Obviously they are still reeling from the loss of Bergerac and his return to Midsomer but on a serious note do UK police hire civilian investigators? Keefy maybe a job for you?

Interesting one about civilian investigators. It probably has more to do with the paperwork department rather than frontline policing. I recently read in the the Classic car press that there were actually two cars used. A second car was purchased and repainted to the correct maroon colour, the same registration number (J 1610) was placed on the cars when filming. There is supposed to be a Metro in the UK with the J 1610 registration, although this could be an early UK registration rather than a Jersey one.www.kenrbaker.co.uk - Photo Gallery - 24 March 2011 16:3498523Ken yes there were some terrific cars on display last night. Wasnt it a novel way to bump someone off, they do come up with pretty good deviations on the murder angle. Impaled on the starting handle of a classic car was a good one. Especially as the car was still attached!
I also thought that to be a good tip about where to place the thumb. i once had a nasty kickback from a starting handle and thought twice about using one again but nobody told me where to place the thumb.
It brings me back to the old days when I had a BSA Shooting Star motorcycle, a fearsome beast if truth be told. I could never kick start it. It had a fierce kickback...I used to even more dangerously bump start the thing, like they used to do in GP races at the time. It was lethal but Im still here...

Jumped into the driving seat and drove from Canterbury to Manchester with the ruddy handle sticking out of the front bumper. Didn't even notice it when I stopped for petrol.I'm an optimist.
