  it appears that two americans and a british-cypriot cove got together and won the prize.
  
  their thesis on how unemployment, job vacancies and wages were dependent on regulation and policy.
  
  try to keep awake here.
  
  the thing that struck me after looking at the nominees i could see no mention of gordon and alistair.

  Gordon and Alistair just missed out on the Ignoble Awards this year, although they did help the winners quite a bit in the past - http://improbable.com/ig/winners/
