    Jan - I don't use the train very often - I would if it were more pleasant. The last few times I have had to go by train it has been, as you indicate, horrible. Kids (and not-so-kids) with their mobiles, people talking so loud it hurts even thought they are right next to their phone/friend/playmate/partnerincrime, people with no idea about how to behave in public, no boundaries and apparently no sense of smell or access to soap and water. Cattling on and off the trains, no information about why your train has not arrived/has gone/is in flames on the tracks, little real direction unless you use the damned stations every day and know the place inside out, and many, many people with halitosis.

    Yes, I can't wait to ditch the car and join my fellow humans.
