  It's true - if I could take public transport to work, or even to leisure activities, it would be nice, but public transport is neither convenient nor comfortable. There is no way I could commute to the far reaches of East Anglia each day without my car, and as an older person with a degree of sensibility I am reluctant to sit with a bunch of louts who often smell and have a vocabulary limited to words of four letters. I exaggerate but not by much. (Sits back to wait for the bile to be flung......)
