I can remember the circus going to Elms vale rec but that was probably back in the 70s,dont think any have been there since,they had to take the railings out so the loads could pull on.Circus would probably do ok on there but not so sure on the fair.Very limited in Dover for places to go,you need good access for the loads as some can be much longer than the average HGV,70,80,90ft is not uncommon for fairs,Connaught doesnt have good access and far too unlevel,schools have some good fields but again the access is often not very good,as i,m involved in this type of business i know what its like.If sometimes you can find a suitable rec,its often surrounded by houses so then comes noise complaints and the list goes on and on,best of luck in finding a solution.
