09:4785796Just to let people know that 2 buses have had to be dug out in Crabble Avenue, unable to make the slop onto Hillside Road. Some cars also have some problems as wheels just spinning.

09:5585798Yes well done Pauline with that info. There are still widespread problems it seems...some very heavy snow again last night for a long period of time. The weather forecasters seemed unsure as to whether it would reach us or not, they seemed unsure earlier in the evening but nature answered them in a big way.

10:5385811It is very good that the buses are running, the problem is getting to the bus stop in the first place.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

13:3985839Well at least the normal traffic is now moving ok up and down Crabble Ave/Hillside Road. Don't expect the buses yet though, probably tomorrow if it doesn't snow again.

13:4185841The operations Manager has been to look at Hillside and he got stuck also however he is now back at the depot .Not safe for the bus .
I have requested it be gritted .yet again .

14:5585863Sue, the gritter has been, looks like they have also done the whole route along Hillside as well. The lorry drivers had already been clearing the snow off the road outside my house all morning so they could get up the hill and along to the industrial estate. (Been kept busy with people knocking and asking to borrow a shovel)

17:1085916Im glad Hillside has now been gritted .I see the buses are running again .I made the effort to go the co-op .Drivers speeding along icy water splashing over me .If I had known I could have gone into town .not so much walking .
